Lyfe After Hyskool Progress....

Ok so i was recordin the other day and came to the conclusion that im missin something...somethin is missin off of this album... the title "Lyfe After Hyskool" has a good positive ring to it..concepts are good..like its got the right feel to it.. tracks like "All I Know", "Who Am I" and even "Leave It Alone" all have a powerful message.. that message is that there is more to life then what meets the eye.. but i still cant put my finger on it...looked at the track listing and it flows perfect..starts out, ok you've graduated hyskool, now what? you gon Hustle, get at the ladies being at the club 4 outta 7 nites, u gon hustle some more, make a couple dollars, then realize that you cant do that for the rest of ya life..i mean Frank Lucas couldnt even do that his whole life..So now u wise up and do something bigger. Gotta family to take care of and u think about "what if u were either dead or in jail".. ok so i got a good concept to the album....so what is it?? then it hit me.. To be original, to change the game a lil bit and have the people enjoy ya muzik from start to finish.. The art of Interludes or skits has been missin on a lot of underground and even mainstream albums..Then i listen to ludacris, "Theatre of The Mind" hot..i dig that..So on this project, i have connected with one of my favorite up and coming spoken word artist to add a lil spice to this project. D-Nyce or Denise Frohman has lended me a hand with this one and she is slated to have a hot spoken word piece to open up the album..I love her spoken word...very powerful and has a great message in all of em....yall can check her out at www.myspace.com/dnicesoulmusic. she is tough... but anywho, got that spoken word piece...so ok...now imma be addin a bunch of funny skits to keep people entertained and also the skits will bring in the next track..like tie them in...but later for all that, its time to blow a L and think.......in a minute everyone and until then, "remain sukafree"

The Frustrations Of the Work Place...

I know we all have em... the co worker that u just cant stand. Every little thing they do, gets on ya last nerve..the constant complainin (and they aint even doing they job right) but got the nerve to complain about what they "supposed" to be doing... the 86 smoke breaks a day..i mean damm , aint it only supposed to be two 15 minute smoke breaks a day, or do smokers have a different break schedule than everyone else? i mean , u tell me..!!! Then u got the ones that dont have a clue as to what they are supposed to be doing but they SWEAR they know it all... The ones who jump right into ya conversation that your having with SOMEONE else.. its like "Mafuka was i talkin to you?" good lawd... they just have a need to relate to every damm thang u talk about so they feel "accepted"..lol... or the ones that when something outside of work happends to them, they gotta tell the whole damm company about it.. i mean errybody gotta know.. these types of people make me HATE my job..i hate the word work somedays.. knowing i gotta come in to that same bullshyt daily.. my alarm goes off and i immediately get a attitude for the day..lol...for real...im mad as hell for the rest of the day until i get out of work... i was once told that i come to work for the pay check , not to make friends, but shyt dont i deserve to be happy comin into this mafuka.. its like how ya momma used to tell u, " u go to skool to learn, not for a fashion show".. but that dont mean i gotta go to skool everyday and get picked on for havin them plastic bottom shoes from k-Mart, or having a elephant on my shyt and not the Lacoste gator...ya know??? .. may be its just me, but some people need to re-evaluate themselves... in my case, i need to change lanes and get a new gig....straight up..thats the only way to correct it..... but Who Am I???

"Your Under Arrest!!!"

First it was Marvin Harrison if I remember correctly wit the whole shooting at his shop, then Pacman gangsta ass , then Plaxico, and now Marshawn Lynch... (Arrested for illegal possion of a consealed weapon).. Now im thinkin to myself, "dont these fools have enough money to get a license for they shyt?". But then i realize that they just aint thinkin straight to begin wit. Where we come from its an expectation to carry ya heat witcha, i mean out there its "Get rich or die tryin", right? And celeberties are a prime target...Watches all bulky, ears on shine, smile all big...example Javon Walker... they beat the hell out that young man, so bad now the nicca cant get right....lol Had he been carryin the heat, he mighta made it thru...My boy Plaxico carryin his heat, but this simple minded nicca shoots himself.....nicca take ya time and get some lessons on how to handle ya heat...lmao....but hey ! at least u had it witchu. But you messed up our chance to go back to back playa!!! So what im sayin is, i cant blame the dudes for carryin they heat but i do blame them for their irresponsibility of not havin a license for they shyt. Unless they got priors, i just dont understand...

The State Of Hip Hop...

For the longest time i been tryin to explain to people about this whole topic of hip hop being dead and underground hip hop especially being dead but in reality, neither of the cultures are dead and neva will be..Although corporate america , u know (the money man, the sugar daddy of it all) are the ones responsible and that includes the Corporate America fans (which is the youth of our society) , the true hip hop listeners are also playin part in this madness...instead of saying hip hop is dead or this shyt is wak, or the radio is playing garbage, get up, get out and look around you...i bet there are a good handfull of MC's right in ya own hood, burbs, skool, whereva that will tear u a new asshole when it comes to this music shyt....MUSIC CAN NEVA DIE, but MUSIC CAN BE IGNORED..and then passed on for the likes of say "RichBoy(boy looka here) or all that crack, gun talk music(not hating but its not my cup of yak)...i mean truly, we are the ones who need to change the ways of the hiphop culture. We are all getting older so we need to be openminded when the music phases change...We're all responsible....Open ya ears....anythin intelligent is needed in today's culture....and the KIDS are the ones who are being influenced the most...easily impressed by fashion, drugs, guns and all that other bullshyt that floods the radio....But a conscience quote or verse is too much for them to understand???? gimme a dammm break like Nel Carter.... HIP HOP IS EVERYWHERE...buy into it...go to ya local mom and pop stores, local venues where someone from ya hood is opening up for somebody...i bet you'll find what chu been missin weither u wanna accept them or not....TRUE HIP HOP IS RIGHT UNDER YA NOSES.....wake up people...dont let Corporate America dictate whats hot and whats not....u be the judge of true music.........~ASAP~ Another Smooth Ass Prophet
